Community Walk for Life: Canton Rallies to Support Spoon River Pregnancy Center's Vital Services

By: Forgottonia Times™ Report

The 18th annual Walk for Life, hosted by the Spoon River Pregnancy Center, took place at Wallace Park in Canton. This year, around 85 participants gathered at the park to complete the Walk and support the center’s mission of providing free, life-affirming medical services and testing.

Since its inception in 2006, the Walk for Life has grown significantly, particularly in the past decade. The event is a crucial fundraiser for the center, helping sustain its wide range of services, including providing baby supplies, ultrasounds, and educational classes for both men and women.

This year, the Spoon River Pregnancy Center successfully raised approximately $5,200, including donations received beyond the day of the Walk. These funds will support the center’s ongoing efforts to assist individuals and families facing unplanned pregnancy-related challenges.

The event highlighted the community’s commitment to supporting the center’s mission and the vital services it offers to beginning families. For more information about the Spoon River Pregnancy Center and its services, visit their website at www.spoonriverpregnancycenter.com.
