What began as a 15-year-old’s creative vision to support her community has evolved into a thriving weekly fundraiser that bolsters local nonprofits and small businesses. Aubrianna Putman, a high school student in Canton, saw the growing financial struggles faced by schools, churches, and other organizations in her area and set out to make a difference.
Aubrianna’s active involvement in sports, 4-H, FFA, and her church exposed her to the widespread need for additional funding. Traditional fundraising methods were losing steam, and the community craved a fresh, engaging alternative. Enter Vendor Bingo: a unique mix of social activity and fundraising that launched as a pilot in spring 2023 and quickly gained momentum. By November, it became a weekly event at the Canton Elks Lodge.
As Vendor Bingo’s popularity grew, Aubrianna enlisted help from a dedicated group of volunteers known as the “Bingo Babes.” These women have been instrumental in organizing, improving, and expanding the event. They select beneficiary organizations and ensure everything runs smoothly, from setup to cleanup. Their efforts have made a remarkable impact.
In 2024 alone, Vendor Bingo raised over $40,569.00 for 28 nonprofit organizations and collected nearly 3,700 food and toy donations. Beneficiaries ranged from local athletic teams and churches to national causes like St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Breast Cancer Awareness.
The success of Vendor Bingo in Canton led to its expansion in February 2025 to Mackinaw, Illinois, at the Mackinaw Valley Vineyards. Bingo nights are now held there on the first and third Wednesdays of February, March, and April, while Canton continues its weekly events every Thursday.
For $20, participants receive 40 bingo cards, five door prize tickets, a dauber, and a $10 vendor coupon—redeemable with participating vendors. The format ensures attendees enjoy a lively evening while supporting local businesses and nonprofits.
Vendor Bingo at the Canton Elks Lodge, located at 61 W. Elm Street in Canton, Illinois, will feature Bee’s Wrestling on February 6, the Fulton County Humane Society on February 13, CHS Girls Soccer on February 20, and the CHS Germany Trip on February 27.
Meanwhile, Vendor Bingo at the Mackinaw Valley Vineyards, located at 33633 Illinois Rt. 9 in Mackinaw, Illinois, will showcase the Lions Club on February 5 and Dee Mack Boosters on February 19.
Doors open at 5 p.m., and bingo begins at 6 p.m. Food and refreshments are available at both locations.
Aubrianna’s Vendor Bingo has become more than a simple fundraiser—it’s a celebration of community spirit and support. Whether you’re a bingo enthusiast or a first-timer, these events guarantee fun, camaraderie, and the chance to make a meaningful difference. Mark your calendars for Thursday evenings at the Canton Elks Lodge and join in supporting these vital causes!
