Dive Into Summer at Bushnell Community Pool

By: Forgottonia Times™ Report

As temperatures rise, the Bushnell Community Pool is ready to help residents cool off and enjoy the summer. Established in 1960 by dedicated VFW members, this local treasure has been a cornerstone of the community for over six decades. Managed entirely by volunteers, the pool remains a family-friendly haven for relaxation and fun.

The pool offers a refreshing escape from the heat and hosts special events such as the night swim, which is a hit with both kids and adults. To stay informed about these events, be sure to check out their Facebook page.

The Bushnell Community Pool relies heavily on community support to stay afloat. This summer, consider contributing to its upkeep and ongoing operations by attending the Grills Gone Wild fundraiser on September 21st. In this event participants compete by showcasing their grilling skills in hopes of winning a cash prize. In previous years grillers have competed in People’s Choice, Ribs, Pork, Poultry, Brisket, and more! In addition to the grill-off, there will be a live and silent auction. All funds raised at the event will go to the needs of the community pool.

So, gather your swimsuits, sunscreen, and enthusiasm, and head over to the Bushnell Community Pool. Enjoy the sun, take a dip, and remember that your support helps keep this community gem thriving for future generations.
