A New Chapter for Snowman's Reindeer Farm: Longtime Friends Take the Reins

By: Forgottonia Times™ Report

A significant transition quietly took place at Snowman's Reindeer Farm last month. After nine years, the picturesque winter wonderland, which springs to life each November and December, is now under new ownership.

Scott and Tracy Snowman, who had devoted nearly a decade of their lives to bringing Christmas magic to life, decided it was time to pass the torch. The couple, beloved by the community for their dedication to the Christmas spirit, made the difficult decision to sell the farm to close friends of over 30 years, Jason and Dawn Parsons. The transfer of ownership occurred in mid-July, marking a new chapter for the cherished holiday destination.

Snowman's Reindeer Farm has become a beloved attraction, with its barns and grounds blanketed in pristine snow during the festive months. Families flock to the farm each winter to experience the wonder of live reindeer and the joyous sounds of the holidays.

Scott and Tracy have begun to find the daily chores of running the farm increasingly demanding. Always wanting the farm to remain a place of joy and magic, Scott and Tracy shared in a Facebook post that "Jason and Dawn share all of the same passions that we do: family, community, Christmas, and animals."

Jason and Dawn Parsons, familiar faces at the farm, eagerly embraced their new roles as owners. They already have plans to expand the farm and potentially introduce new animals, ensuring that the traditions started by the Snowmans will continue to flourish.

The transition was bittersweet for Scott and Tracy, who relocated to a new home just four miles away to stay close to the farm and its beloved reindeer. Scott and Tracy shared that it was hard to step back, but know that the farm is in excellent hands. Jason and Dawn are like family to the Snowmans; though not by DNA, they have been close friends for many years.

In a heartfelt announcement, Scott and Tracy officially publicized their retirement and expressed gratitude to the community for their unwavering support. They reassured everyone that while they were stepping into a new role, their connection to the farm remained strong. They are certainly not saying goodbye, just shifting roles.

As the farm looks forward to another festive season, the community anticipates the same magical experiences that have made it a holiday tradition. The Snowmans' legacy of joy and enchantment promises to thrive under the Parsons' care. Visitors can rest assured that come November, Snowman's Reindeer Farm will once again transform into a winter wonderland, where the spirit of Christmas will continue to live on.
