Relay for Life is an international fundraising event organized by the American Cancer Society (ACS) that unites communities in the fight against cancer. Originating in 1985, the Relay for Life began when Dr. Gordy Klatt walked and ran around a track for twenty-four hours in Tacoma, Washington, and raised around $27,000 to give to the ACS.
