Originating in 1985, the Relay for Life began when Dr. Gordy Klatt walked and ran around a track for twenty-four hours in Tacoma, Washington, and raised around $27,000 to give to the ACS.
During a Galesburg city council meeting, officials approved a new electricity supply agreement with Constellation NewEnergy, Inc., starting July 2024. This follows the previous contract with Homefield Energy, which has been in effect since 2021.
